It was a cool, drizzly morning.
I was on my way to the bus stop after spending a couple of hours on a solo only-just-barely-light photo walk.
I had put my camera away.
Then I noticed the scene above: A young man seated on a makeshift bench, atop a 7-10m high cliff, above a traffic intersection, during rush hour.
Is he sketching a view that can only be viewed from a high point? That was my first guess.
Three frames later, I had to run for the bus so didn't have time to chimp and solve the mystery.
He's dressed in what appears to be brand new outwear, even the shoes.
Is he new to town, from a place where serious waterproofs aren't normal ensemble?
Is he living in crowded conditions where the noise and distractions are worse than a busy T-junction?
Turns out he's not drawing. Just ecatching up on his digital demands.

I love the curling smoke tendrils |
Or is it just that he's not allowed to smoke indoors?
What do you think?
By the way: Happy winter - it snowed to the valley for the first time this season, yesterday!
Until next time ...
